Two upcoming and upmarket Xiaomi phones are making their way from China to Europe soon. Our sources have confirmed that the Xiaomi Black Shark Helo will be coming to Europe soon. Furthermore, the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is also on its way to Europe. While we haven’t received any information of the launch date, this tip-off confirms that Xiaomi will be launching both its gaming smartphone and its flagship bezel-less phone in Europe.
The confirmation comes after the British telecommunications and internet firm Three UK confirming that it has signed a partnership with Xiaomi to bring the Mi Mix 3 in the UK. This is in addition to the 5G version of the Mi Mix 3 already being confirmed to launch in Europe sometime in the first quarter of 2019. However, what hasn’t been revealed until this writing was that Xiaomi also plans to launch its gaming-centric smartphone in Europe.
A successor to the original Black Shark, the Xiaomi Black Shark Helo sports the same SoC as its predecessor, but it also comes with a higher-end option that bumps up the RAM to a whopping 10GB. Other improvements to the phone come in the form of a more premium glass sandwich design in place of the polycarbonate body of the predecessor. Also new is a premium 6-inch AMOLED with a wide 18:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 1080×2160. The new Black Shark Helo also bears a dedicated button to reduce background processes and fancy AI-powered RGB backlighting for the extra gamer street cred.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, on the other hand, is targeted at those who seek a premium bezel-less flagship-grade smartphone. This is made possible with an ultra-wide 19.5:9 aspect ratio Super AMOLED display that is substantially large at 6.4-inches thanks to the phone’s impressive screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. This is largely due to the unique slider camera mechanism that allows the Mi Mix 3 to do away with the notch and yet reduce bezels significantly. Like the Black Shark Helo, the Mi Mix 3 too comes with Snapdragon 845, along with the absolutely mental 10GB RAM variant.
