We have now accessed a few new OPPO A7 promotional images, which highlight the design as well as a few key features of the handset. Similar to the recent OPPO F-series and R-series smartphones, the A7 comes with a waterdrop notch at the top, which makes the handset look quite attractive. As can be seen in the images below, the OPPO A7 will be available in Green, Gold, and Rose Gold color options. All three color variants come with gold accents around the dual-camera setup and the fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be running on the ColorOS 5.2 version out of the box, which comes with a few new features and a refreshed user-interface.

Ahead of the smartphone’s impending launch, we have managed to get our hands on the smartphone’s complete spec sheet. The OPPO A7 will be a toned down version of the OPPO A7x which has some better specs compared to the former. The launch was expected on November 13 originally but we can now confirm the handset will be official on November 22.
As we recently reported, specs are exactly the same as previous leaks have suggested. The OPPO A7 features a 6.2-inch FullView Display with a waterdrop notch and a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. As per our report, there’s a 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protecting the display. There smartphone is powered by an octa-core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 SoC with an Adreno 506 GPU. The handset has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Previous reports also suggested a 3GB + 32GB version accompanied by a MicroSD card slot for further expansion up to 256GB. A key selling point of the OPPO A7 will be its huge 4230mAh capacity battery, which should make it among the best devices in its class in terms of battery life.
In terms of photography, the OPPO A7 rocks a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture along with a 2MP depth sensor on the rear. While a lone 16MP selfie shooter resides inside the waterdrop notch at the top of the display. The OPPO A7 will run Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box, with OPPO’s custom UX ColorOS 5.2 on top of it.
In terms of connectivity, the handset gets the standard Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS with A-GPS, and GLONASS. As we pointed out earlier, the handset is probably a rebranded Realme 2 with the waterdrop notch being the main differentiating factor between the two smartphones.
The OPPO A7 comes in a variety of colour choices including Fresh Powder, Lake Light Green, and Amber Gold. The handset will be priced 1,599 Yuan in China, which translates to around INR 16,600 approximately.
